Many lovely tracks. My somewhat uncultured ear might pick Gesualdo and Rautavaara arrangements. The melancholy of Alava maa also hits home.

Keys, drums, trumpet. Aki Rissanen is a pianist, but Hyperreal's vibe is dictated by his use of keyboards, bringing this into the realm of jazz and electronics. When he's on piano he's leading, but while on the keyboard he is setting the atmosphere for drummer Robert Ikiz to lead the show with his frantic but controlled, electronic-complimentary rhythms. The trumpet is both atmosphere and lead at times, and often takes the songs in unexpected directions. Often elevating, sometimes confounding.
